Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer officially on hot seat, how will SEC shakeup coaching landscape?
By Alicia Goldstein | ESPN

To those familiar with the SEC, it felt as though for Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer, his last straw was their Week 10 matchup against LSU. You lose that game, you may as well get a head-start on packing your bags. LSU managed to slide past Alabama, 38-31. That may be all she wrote for DeBoer in his tenure as head coach.

The expectation is that DeBoer will finish the season before the powers that be in Tuscaloosa decide what direction they will be going in. The team has stumbled out of the gate in the post-Nick Saban era according to Crimson Tide standards. DeBoer has gone 14-8 and has a 9-5 record against rivals in the SEC. Though nothing is official, it feels as though Alabama will be the first chip to fall in the SEC coaching shakeup.

Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby won't be far behind him, sporting a 3-7 record, but the team may be a little more lenient in his first year with the team. He has gone 0-5 against team's in the top 25 rankings. Whether the team pulls the plug early or not is still too early to tell.

Other big names on the hot seat includes Boston College's Bill O'Brien, Nebraska's Matt Rhule, and TCU's Sonny Dykes. Michigan's Sherrone Moore isn't too far behind, though he may be get some grace while the team develops behind star freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, not too far displaced from their national title with current Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

A-State's recruiting class continues to take shape, target "Swiss-Army Knife" Ben Baity
By Olivia Scott | Jonesboro Newsletter

The Arkansas State Red Wolves continue to rake in the recruits, succeeding both on the field and on the road as they land the commitments of two-star running back Zaire Dragos out of Biloxi, Mississippi and two-star Alexander Griggs out of Cocoa, Florida.

Dragos was on campus back in Week 9 during A-State's 37-7 thumping of Georgia Southern, and was weighing his options of Auburn, Mississippi State, and Indiana. With the tumultuous situation surrounding Miss. St head coach Jeff Lebby, and not wanting to get lost in the shuffle with a big school like Auburn, Dragos felt as though joining the Red Wolves was the right move for him.

A dynamic threat out of the backfield with exceptional acceleration and shiftiness, Dragos looks to make an impact sooner rather than later with A-State runningback Kenyon Clay seeing his role more diminished every week behind the breakout campaign of Ja'Quez Cross the last few weeks.

Griggs, a 5-foot-11, 215 pound linebacker with good speed and high football IQ, was considering the Auburn Tigers as well, along with local schools such as USF and UCF. He had been on the Red Wolves' radar on a while and had heavy interest in joining the team from the get-go. As soon as head coach Butch Jones offered him a scholarship, he committed on the spot.

The team has pursued three-star athlete Ben Baity out of Birmingham, Alabama the last few weeks after losing out on three-star SAM linebacker Maurice Trahan to Florida, and more recently Forrest Judge to UAB. Baity is scheduled to be on campus this week during A-State's bye week while he weighs offers from Western Kentucky and Liberty. The team also is looking into SAM linebacker Jayden Biggers and cornerback Kevin Beach.

Southern Miss ain't no slouch - see mine and Caesar's conference championship losses :yep: - so grats on that win.

Like the idea of putting where recruits you lost out on go - I usually just delete them off the board. They're dead to me at that point lol
