WARRIORS ROUT FCS NW BEHIND ALEJADO’S SIX-TOUCHDOWNS
HONOLULU, HI — The Rainbow Warriors delivered a performance as dazzling as the Hawaiian sunset Saturday night, dismantling FCS Northwest 52-6 in front of those who decided to show up at Clarence T.C. Ching Atletic Complex. At the heart of the blowout: quarterback Micah Alejado, who lit up the scoreboard with six total touchdowns in just three quarters of play.
The Rainbow Warriors struck first midway through the first quarter with a perfectly executed screen pass to Cam Barfield. Minutes later, Alejado connected again — this time hitting Oakie Salave'a across the middle on an RPO, just like that it was 14–0 and the rout was on.
Alejado consistently found open receivers, extended plays with his legs, and even ran the two-minute drill to perfection before halftime.
“We knew they’d struggle to contain him,” head coach Timmy Chang said after the game. “But this… this was surgical.”
By halftime, Alejado had already thrown for three touchdowns, ran in another, and had over 250 yards of offense, guiding the Warriors to a commanding 31–point lead. The defense did their part as well, getting to the quarterback multiple times and keeping the visitors out of the end zone the entire first half.
After intermission, the Warriors kept their foot on the gas. Alejado added two more touchdown passes, including a bullet into tight coverage early in the third and a play-action strike that had the crowd roaring on the final play of the quarter.
The final stat line for Alejado: 6 total touchdowns, over 400 yards, zero turnovers, and a QBR that left little doubt about who the game’s MVP was.
With the win, the Rainbow Warriors improve to 3–1 on the season and appear to be hitting their stride at just the right time. The offense looks explosive, the defense is playing with swagger, and Micah Alejado has officially planted his flag as one of the nation’s most exciting young quarterbacks.
Next week, Hawaii hosts heated rivals Fresno State in the Battle for the Golden Screwdriver. The Rainbow Warriors have been making waves, but if Alejado and company keep playing like this, they may soon be turning heads far beyond the islands.

Nothing better coming off a loss than beating up an FCS team. Get the cobwebs out.
