Chapter III: Making It Official
In the midst of the show, the unmistakable theme of NXT General Manager Ava blares through the arena speakers. The WWE Universe erupts with mixed anticipation as she steps onto the stage, a black binder clutched in her hands. Speculation runs rampant as the fans eye the binder, assuming it contains an important contract.
Ava makes her way into the ring, taking in the energy of the NXT Universe. As she stands in the center of the squared circle, chants of "Ava! Ava!" echo through the arena. She smiles before raising the microphone to address the crowd.
"Last week, and even earlier tonight, we witnessed some of the most heinous attacks in NXT history. This is not what NXT is about, but tonight, I’m out here to officially introduce someone who has already made an impact—whether we like it or not."
Ava takes a moment before speaking again. "Without further adieu, I like to introduce the newest addition to our roster—The Super Samoan: Gen Hayabusa."
The arena darkens slightly as Gen’s entrance music hits. The man responsible for the carnage walks through Gorilla with an intensity that is both chilling and captivating. The WWE Universe is split, half showering him with boos, while others acknowledge his raw presence with cheers. Gen strides to the ring, his face an enigma of controlled fury. As he enters the ring, he takes a long moment to soak in the atmosphere, his eyes scanning the sea of people reacting to his arrival.
Ava breaks the tension. "Gen, welcome to NXT. The NXT Universe and I are excited to see what you bring to this brand. But let’s make one thing clear—I don’t want to see more of my superstars ending up being taken to the hospital like Je’Von Evans. Keep it civil."
Gen tilts his head slightly, his expression unreadable. Then, with eerie calm, he responds, "That is a promise I cannot keep."
The statement sends a murmur through the crowd. His words, minimal but chilling, solidify the mystique surrounding him. Ava, maintaining her composure, hands Gen the contract. He takes it, barely glancing at the terms before signing his name with deliberate strokes. The ink dries, making it official—Gen Hayabusa is now part of NXT.
With the contract sealed, Gen steps forward to address the NXT Universe. "This is your first and final warning. Stay clear of my warpath... If you so much as think of the possibility, I will rain down the inevitable hell on you... I don't care if you're a NXT rookie, I don't care if you're a NXT champion. Hell, I don't care if you're a WWE legend... You stand against the rage, I. Will. Annihilate. You..."
The arena buzzes with anticipation and unease. But before Gen can bask in the moment, familiar music hits, interrupting the eerie silence.
Josh Briggs steps out onto the stage, a man with a purpose. The burly competitor marches to the ring, his eyes locked on Gen. As he steps into the ring, the two men stand toe to toe, sizing each other up.
Briggs smirks. "I'm here... I'm standing in your warpath, I'm standing in your way... You like picking fights with people who can’t fight back? You like attacking people from behind? Try picking on someone your own size, and lets see what kind of real man you are..."
With daggers in his eyes, Gen stares down Josh Briggs in silence. Before Ava could step between to prevail cooler heads, Gen raises his microphone to issue his first demand.
"Clearly, he's deaf. I specifically said, "I. Will. Annihilate. You... But you need to be made an example of... Ava, make the match..."
Briggs raises his microphone, responding in agreement, "Yeah, I heard what you said, but I'm not buying it. Make the match, Ava. I want to see what this punk got."
The tension is palpable as the crowd roars, sensing a potential collision course between the two forces. The battle lines have been drawn. With the crowd wanting to see this face off turn into a match, Ava submits to the request, giving the NXT Universe what they want, just not this week.
"Then it is settled then... In two weeks, at NXT's Great American Bash, it'll be Josh Briggs... Versus Gen Hayabusa..."
The crowd booed in stalling the tension that's happening in the ring currently, but there interest remained piqued as the fresh blood rivalry took place. As Josh Briggs looks to play gate keeper to the NXT playground, Gen Hayabusa has malicious intent to make good on that "final warning". NXT just got a whole lot more dangerous...
