Going Rogue
Good to see you get in the game and do your thing, must have been nice to get pulled in

Going Rogue
Trying to be like you fam.
Yeah, a 2-QB system works. Haynes get injured and Jodi takes over

Agent, And he only needed a quarter. There was no way the kid was taking his first trip to Ireland for a 35-blowout
Captain Canada, I honestly thought coach was gonna bench Jodi the whole game, but he'll take those garbage minutes to show & prove. I'm hoping we get a position battle before we're five games in.Captain Canada wrote: ↑20 Jul 2024, 09:29Good to see you get in the game and do your thing, must have been nice to get pulled in

Chapter II: The Initiative
College football season had kicked off, Jodi and the boys had took a trip to Ireland to face off against the Florida State Seminoles. Florida State displayed their dominance in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic for three quarters straight, nobody among Georgia Tech had a counter for them as they ran the score up. With garbage time on the menu, both teams made the adjustments of subbing in the reserves as the game was over. But that didn't stop Jodi from doing all he can, playing catch up, as he got the nod from Coach Kay to finish the game out. With 15 minutes on the clock, Jodi turned a 35-point blowout into a 14-point defeat. Though it still wasn't the results Georgia Tech had hoped to open the season with, thanks to Jodi, the loss looked commendable. That in turn opened some eyes on the sideline. The kid from Danville was anything but all hype.
After the team made their way back to campus, Jodi zeroed in on getting some studies done as he was still figuring out the balances of the college life. It wasn't long since after the trip Jodi got a few nods from other athletes around campus along with some compliments. He appreciated the back on the back, but he knew that if he was starting, things might've been different, and garbage time was not something he'd wanted to prance on his resume. Nevertheless, Jodi takes it all in stride until Haynes King, the star QB reached out to him.

[Haynes]: "Yo, Jodi, thanks for joining the group chat, I wanted to hit you up personally though. How was it for you gearing up for your first college game?"
[Jodi]: "It was more than I could ever imagine. I never thought I'd be playing my first college game in Ireland of all places."
[Haynes]: "Yeah, I get it. College football got a lot of exposure and fans outside the country, it's nothing like playing high school games, roaming around the state. But you looked amazing out there against Florida State, I almost thought we was going to make comeback."
[Jodi]: "Thanks bro, and that was the plan. Going overseas for a 35-0 game was not something I signed up for."
[Haynes]: "I don't think anyone of us does, but it comes with the territory sometimes. Speaking of territories, I know you're a great athlete, top of the class in the nation this year. And I'm not trying to step on toes here, but don't think you're going to waltz in and take my job from me."
[Jodi]: "What? What are you saying, H?"
[Haynes]: "I'm just saying that we're here. You're great, I'm great too. But I've got more experience at this level. If anything, you should coast a bit, I'll take you under my wing and get you up to speed in development."
[Jodi]: "I appreciate the offer, but I'll have to decline. That's not how this works man. I'm just as hungry as you, if not more. I didn't come here to steal your spotlight, GT was just a better fit of all the schools I was looking at. I want to build something, not be handed the keys with high expectations. But don't undermine my competitiveness. If I take your job, it's cause I earned it. Coach said that every year, the starting line-up gets a clean slate, that's the rule I'm abiding by."
[Haynes]: "Competitiveness, huh? Okay, Jodi. I'm just trying to take the initiative to let you know how things works around here, there's seniority to this."
[Jodi]: "I hear you, Junior. But now I feel some type of way how you're coming at me, trying to assert your authority. But now I see that I'ma have to take the initiative and do things the Rogue's way."
[Haynes]: "-sigh- Typical. Whatever man."
Discerning his-self with Haynes' insecurities, Jodi set out to Gabriel's dorm. Since getting back, he has seen him in his usual areas. Upon getting there, Jodi asked around the dormitory of Gabriel's whereabouts, but no one seem to have any lead on where he could be. Jodi understood that he moved in silence, but damn, this was a little too silent for him. Just as he was ready to give up and retreat to Eighth St., Jodi had his eyes caught on this feminine figure standing outside on the balcony. Jodi tried to play it cool with his approach but something gave her the signal that eyes was on her, resulting in her turning towards the doorway.

Jodi was immediately entranced by this fine ass specimen standing before him. A petite figure, draped in long jet black hair, coated in deep chocolate complexion. It was clear that she had vitiligo disorder, but it looked so well on her, as if she was a double scoop of chocolate and fudge brownie chocolate. Her brown eyes were filled with warmth with her sterling white teeth gave contrast to her juicy lips that had a hint of cherry. Jodi was almost lost for words.
"Hey, how you doing, love?"
"I'm fine, and you?"
"I'm good, I'm good. I didn't mean to intrude on your space, I saw you out here and you caught my attention."
"Oh, Is that so?" She lightly asked.
"Yeah, yeah, I came through to see my boy Gabriel, I was looking for him, nobody seem to know where he went. He's not answering his phone, none of that. I asked everyone around except you. I figured I'd shoot my sho-, I mean chances and ask you."
"Shoot your shot, huh?" She giggled with a slight smile. "But no, I haven't seen him since class this morning. I hope he's okay."
"Yeah, me too. But thank you though, if you see him, tell him I'm looking for him?"
"Um, I don't know if I can do that."
"What? Why not? Hold me down one time." Jodi turned the charm on for the favor.
"I can't, I don't know how I'm referencing."
Jodi felt slightly dumb, not introducing him-self. "You know what, you're right, my bad. I'm Jodi Rogue. And you are?"
"I'm Cristina. I heard about you, you're that football player from Danville, right?"
"Yeah, we met somewhere?"
"No, not physically, I've heard your name in passing at my school."
"Hold up, where you from?"
"I'm from Walnut Creek, just on the north side of Monte Vista."
"Oh snap, that's dope. Uh-oh, I think I just found me a hometown buddy out here!" Jodi playfully cited with a little silly dance as Cristina hid her blushing face. Cristina was shy, but her eyes told the story that she was delighted to meet a hometown neighbor.
The two carried on a bit more into the conversation, getting to know each other and how they ended up in Georgia. Just with Jodi meeting Cristina, it seemed like his homesickness began to dissipate, bringing new light in for him. And whether he was knew or not, Jodi was feeling her immediately. Just off a her physical stature and kempt personality, Cristina was impressing Jodi by the minute. Same could be said for Cristina, though she's super shy and lacking in socializing, she felt no need to put her guard all the way up against him, until his eyes had veered off the path.
"Hey, Jodi, I know we just met, but could you not with the stare? I know that look and it doesn't make me feel comfortable."
"Huh? Oh, nah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to tense you up in any way, I'm just amazed by your complexion, that's all."
"Hm, that's a first I'm ever hearing that."
"What? What you mean? You don't get compliments on your popping melatonin?"
Cristina eyes opened wide with shock just before bursting into laughter. "I think you meant melanin, Jodi." She corrected him still laughing, trying to gain her composure.
"Oh! Well, shit, I thought it was all the same." Jodi said, scratching the back of his head in confusion.
"Sorry, but no." Cristina smiled. Little did Jodi know, that mishap worked in his favor as she reverted back to a more relaxed state than she was in moments ago.
"But I didn't mean to stare, I know vitiligo can be major pressure for people who have it, but I can't get this feeling of wanting ice cream when I look at you."
"Ice cream?" Cristina looked at Jodi out of curiosity. "Some kind of fetish you got?"
"What? No, don't play me like that. You just have some really pleasant-looking skin. Despite having vitiligo, it works in your favor. Like two chocolates combined into this one fine ass sista' standing before me."
Instantly, Cristina's face goes red. It was made evident to Jodi that Cristina doesn't get that kind of attention, and while he enjoyed taking that "cherry", he wasn't going to overwhelm her with it. Looking at his watch, it was a justifiable reason for Jodi to make his exit and catch Gabriel at another time.
"So, look, I know we just met, and I'm sure we're going to see each other around, or at the very least not pass each other without recognizing one another. But maybe we exchange socials, I send you some memes, you send some memes, we see how this friendship goes from there."
"Friendship?" Cristina asked with a smile. "You compliment people like that to be friends with?"
"Nah, not really. But, I'm trying to save face here, work with me!" Jodi laughed. "So what's up? Can I get your social?"
Cristina happily agrees as she takes his phone and searched up her page of her newly created IG. "I just made a new page, so give me time to get my numbers up to yours." Cristina joked.
"No worries, I'll be your number one fan if need be."
"Oh, is that so? Then maybe you'll come to my recital later this week. Perhaps I could get you in, give you a show."
"You sing?" Jodi asked as she nodded yes. "Damn, that's what's up. Yeah, for sure, I'm down for that. Just let me know when and where and I'll pull up."
"Sounds good."
Unbeknownst to them both, Cristina and Jodi was hitting it out the park with each other like Aaron Judge at the home run derby back in 2017. Even though these two were just strangers merely hours ago, there was definitely some sparks going about...
