2nd Hawaii School Visit.
As the Briar Jumpers would have the weekend off, Hawaii took notice & extended another invitation to Jozif for another school visit.
Since Jozif has already toured throughout the Warriors' facilities, this trip was more focused on playing time.
"Let's cut to the chase, Jozif. We both know you're a rising star in the world of football." Hawaii head coach, Timmy Chang, said to Jozif in a private meeting.
"That means you could go play at the university of Kentucky, or Louisville, or anywhere. But when you look to bigger programs, you have to compete for playing time.. Right?"
"...Right." Jozif responded.
"What I'm offering you at Hawaii is a guaranteed starting position straight out of the gate. You'll be promised a starting position as well as a guarantee to return all kicks & punts during your freshman season.."
"Blimey, coach.." Jozif responded.
"That's how committed the Rainbow Warriors are to adding you to our team next season.. & I will do everything in my power to help you achieve your goals of taking your game to the next level.. I'm talking NFL contract.." Coach Chang said with promise in his eyes.
"Yo coach, I gotta be real wit' you. I proper love the University of Hawaii, yeah, but my girl back in Kentucky's stressin' bout us breaking up if I bounce. Is there any way you can sort something to get her out here too?"
"I understand where you're coming from. I will speak to admissions & see if there's anything I can do, but simply put, I can't guarantee anything.. But look, Jozif. We're talking about the rest of your life. Would you rather sit on the bench for a year or two closer to Kentucky, or get an opportunity to build your resume immediately at Hawaii?"
Jo knew that coach Timmy Chang was making sense.
"I'm not trying to tell you what to do with your decision, because ultimately it's yours. But a wise man once said, you can lose money chasing women, but you'll never lose women chasing money.. Point being, don't turn down a good opportunity for your future because of your love interest in the present.."
"... I hear you, coach. I know you're only looking out.."
"But I promise, I'll speak to admissions & see what we can do for you in this situation. But don't let that be the deciding factor on becoming a Rainbow Warrior. You're bred for it. Just looking at you, I see Hawaii all over you!"
"Hah. As you already know, coach. Hawaii is the top spot for me right now. I want to be here, it's just the stuff back home.."
"Don't worry about that this weekend. Enjoy your time here, tour the campus, & get a feel for what your future could be.. We'll speak again before you fly home.. Jozif, it's a pleasure as always."

As Jozif's flight home isn't until tomorrow, he's been granted free time to explore the campus & see what being a Rainbow Warrior is all about.

"Hey, you! Wait up!" A voice cried out in Jozif's direction.
"Are you also here touring the campus?"
"Yeah, I'm in Hawaii checkin' out the uni. What you sayin'?"
A girl with a soft smile approached Jozif with a similar sentiment of unfamiliarity.
"Hi! I'm Noelani! Noelani Akana!"
Stunned by the confrontation, it took Jozif a moment to gather himself for a response.
"Are you also just touring today? Something about you says you're clueless just as I am!"
Jozif laughed as he decided to respond this stranger.
"Man's lost out here, tryna find my dorm still. But I'm Jozif. Jozif Farrakhan. I'm here for football.."
"Nice to meet you Jozif! Sorry if I was a bit to personal! I just recognized another person as lost as myself & figured you had to be touring the University of Hawaii as well!"
"Mans from Croydon in the UK, but I play football in Somerset, Kentucky. I'm here on a football visit. Already have the scholarship offer, n'that.."
"Oh, wow! That's unique.. I'm here touring for sports as well.. Potential volleyball scholarship, but I live nearby campus.." Noelani told Jozif.
"Pleasure to meet you, Noelani.. I wish I had more time to talk, but mans is proper lost. I can't get stuck here at Uni & not make it back to proper Kentucky in time.."
"Oh! Well you'll be fine! My sister is an upperclassmen here at UH... C'mon Jozif, I'm on my way to her dorm & we're going out to a party tonight? Are you interested in having some fun for the weekend?" Noelani asked.
Remembering what coach Chang had just told him about being open to new experiences rang a bell, & Jozif could only respond by simply saying:

Jozif was redirected to where he was staying & went inside to put on a fresh fit to go to the party. Neolani's older sister, Alani, was inviting some friends over for social gathering around a bonfire.
While some decided to wander off to the water, the two sisters decided to dance around the fire & get to know J a little better.
"We're so happy you're joining us, Jozif! Neolani was telling me that you're here for football.."
"That's right.. Second time visiting.. Big man tings, yeah.. It's beautiful out here."
"It is! We grew up here.. Our parents own this small getaway home & it's close to campus so we come here to unwind quite often.. Are you sure you don't want to take that coat off? You don't really need it.."

"So, do you think you'll choose school here, Jozif?" Neolani asked.
"Can't say yet. Still mulling over some other schools.. But hype to have made friends already."
"That can be stressful! Especially if you have a girlfriend back home or like to be close to family.. Do you.. have a girlfriend, Jozif?" Alani asked.
"Being away from family doesn't bother me.. Mans moved from the UK to Kentucky.. Maybe here next.."
"But yeah, mans got a girl back home still." He said as he opened his Instagram page to show photos of the two.
"Aw, that's adorable! I'm going to follow you! Is she going to come to Hawaii too with you?" Neolani asked.
"I don't think so, fam. She’s got her own ting going on."
"I see.. Try the long distance thing out.. IF you decide to come here.."
"Yeah, IF!" Jo responded with a laugh.
"My girl is already vexed that I came to check out uni in Hawaii still. But I can't help it."
"You'll have to bring her next time so she can understand what you're attracted to about this place.." Alani responded.
Jo looked at his wallpaper of his girlfriend on his phone before putting it away & changing the conversation. He made sure to enjoy the island weather before returning to Kentucky the following day.
