Porter leads 'Skins to big win, back into playoff hunt

QB CHASE PORTER TAKES A BIG HIT WHILE THROWING A TD PASS TO JAMISON CROWDER
After and ugly loss to the Jaguars last weekend had put the Redskins on the outside looking in for the postseason a dominant win yesterday over the Titans has them right back in the hunt.
Washington thumped the Titans by a score of 45-17 in Tennessee.
Chase Porter played very well, throwing for 305 yards and three scores on just 20 pass attempts, 14 of which he completed.
Chris Thompson put up a season high 131 yards and scored twice in the win. Porter added 71 yards rushing and a score.
Jamison Crowder and Josh Doctson each went over 100 yards receiving, Crowder with 150 and a score and Doctson with 101 and a pair of scores.
The win brings the 'Skins record to 8-7, tied with the Eagles, who they face next week with the division title on the line.
Dallas is now 7-8 and has been eliminated from the playoffs.
Seattle is 9-6 and has locked up a wild card position. If the Redskins lose and the Vikings win then the Eagles will win the NFC East and the Vikings will get the last wildcard spot, leaving the Redskins out of the playoffs.
"The best thing we can do is just win next week." Coach Gruden explained. "Then we don't need to be scoreboard watching and needing help."
The Redskins lost to the Eagles in week 13 in Philadelphia by a score of 13-28.
