Not so great from Arnold.

Can't believe they won with the alternates.

Hopefully you can beat up on Navy a bit.
Arnold surprisingly did not play well. He was overthrowing his receivers a lot in the second quarter

Damn, you were hanging with them for one half. That's promising for this team.

Let's get that first win against Navy
The defense really surprised me for sure. Might not be such a bad season after all :yup:

Think the dink-and-dunk offense will be something u continue, or was it more of a result based on the opponent?
I think it was more because I was playing against OU. I had a very passive gameplan because I knew that their defense was leagues better than our offense. I called a lot of screens and short pass plays with drag routes and drive concepts to get the ball out quickly. It really did not help that the running game was irrelevant and 90% of the HB screens i called were blown up immediately.

I expect that the passing game will look much different for the rest of the season

Yeah, that 3rd was the endgame
Sawchuk was too much for our defense

It started off with so much promise
That second quarter gave me way too much hope. It all came crashing down after halftime :dead:

Hung for a but. Not an unexpected result though. Something wonky with the box score there.
Surprising game but saw some positives. Thanks, fixed the box score

21 completions for 101 yards is crazy. throw it deep, coach!
if my line can hold their blocks for more than a millisecond after the snap then maybe i can sling that ball some more :smh:

Temple goes down to 0-2 after Trujillo misses 31 yard field goal attempt

Temple #11 Forrest Brock getting sacked for a safety was his last snap of the day at quarterback

Week 2
September 7, 2024 | Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium | Annapolis, Maryland

-----------------------------------------------
TEM (0-2) | 7 | 0 | 0 | 7 || 14
NAVY (2-0) | 0 | 2 | 8 | 7 || 17
-----------------------------------------------

Scoring Summary

First Quarter
4:55 John Adams 11 yd pass from Forrest Brock (TEM)

Second Quarter
1:29 Team Safety (NAVY)

Third Quarter
5:34 Colin Ramos, returned interception 22 yds (Blake Horvath 2pt) (NAVY)

Fourth Quarter
2:33 Peter Clarke 15 yd pass from Evan Simon (TEM)
1:32 Nathan Kent 49 yd pass from Blake Horvath (NAVY)

-----------------------------------

Maddux Trujillo, you are so lucky that Temple is not a good team. If the city of Philadelphia cared about this team, you would have been sentenced to death row for what you have done this game. YOU MISSED FROM 28 AND 31 YARDS. I don't care if you got iced. You're a senior! Play like one! We would've won this game if you were not complete trash.

The Temple offense showed some improvements this week, but it was not without its hiccups. Forrest Brock looked like a proper quarterback in his first drive, resulting in a 11 yard touchdown pass to John Adams on a slant from an RPO play. Unfortunately, it all went downhill for Brock after that. In back-to-back drives to finish the second half, Brock was sacked for a safety and threw an interception in the red zone.

Coming out of halftime, Evan Simon came out as the one under center for Temple. In his first play as an Owl, he threw a pick six to Colin Ramos. Temple fans may have felt doubtful in the change in quarterback, but the Rutgers transfer was not fazed. With over two minutes left in the fourth, Simon led Temple on a 72 yard march down the field to give them a 14-10 lead. One minute later, Navy answered back after quarterback Blake Horvath caught Temple cornerback Corey Washington sleeping and threw a 49 yard touchdown to wide receiver Nathan Kent.

Simon once again led Temple down the field to set up Maddux for a 31 yard field goal attempt to force overtime. Sadly, Temple's kicker is auditioning to go play in China next season instead.

DT Kendall Whitside: 3 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 safety

Worst Player of the Game: K Maddux Trujillo
"I’ll never understand how college and NFL football teams allow kickers that just.... miss... kicks. I feel like there has to be pools of kickers in the USA that won’t miss simple kicks. Or snappers that won’t mess the snaps idk man it seems so SILLY. Would love opinions on this." - Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, 2019
