Not a bad squad for the C-USA tbh. How far do you think you can take theses boys in year 1?
I'd say we got a good shot for a bowl game. Ceiling is probably 7-8 wins. The passing game is a massive question mark, so it'd be trouble if my two running backs get shut down.
My boy wasted $70 for a pic he could've got off youtube Image

Delaware Falls Short In The Clutch

Delaware #8 Nicholas Laboy unable to secure catch on Hail Mary

Week 3
September 13, 2025 | Delaware Stadium | Newark, DE

-----------------------------------------------
UCONN (3-0) | 7| 3 | 8 | 7 || 25
UD (1-2) | 7 | 7 | 7 | 3 || 24
-----------------------------------------------

For most of the game, the odds were in Delaware's favors. Just as the offense had finally started to look decent, what could have possibly happened? The defense decides to blow it in the final moments of the game.

Three minutes left in the fourth, the Blue Hens decided to kick a field goal on fourth down to give themselves at 24-18 lead. All they need to do was shut down Joe Fagnano In the air and Mel Brown on the ground. Unfortunately, that did not happen. next two minutes, UCONN marched down the field with ease and scored on a Mel Brown touchdown.

Zach Marker and the Blue Hens offense tried their hardest to reach field goal range, but could only reach the fifty yard line before having to throw a Hail Mary. The pass hit Nicholas Laboy in his hands, but he was unable to secure it for the win.

frustrating but can only do so much when your defenders are gassed and can't tackle to save their lives

Welcome to Conference USA, Delaware

FIU #62 Clinton Mahoni takes down Delaware #2 Riley Trujillo, who was sacked six times today

Week 4
September 20, 2025 | Pitbull Stadium | Miami, FL

-----------------------------------------------
UD (1-3) | 7 | 0 | 0 | 7 || 14
FIU (3-1) | 10| 7 | 10 | 13 || 40
-----------------------------------------------

After a heartbreaker against UConn, head coach Randall Tolliver decided to make several changes for the game against FIU. Unfortunately, all of them backfired.

First, two-QB system was decided to be run with Zach Marker and Riley Trujillo, who will alternate every drive. That didn't work as Marker never got into rhythm while Trujillo put on his best Caleb Williams impersonation, holding onto the ball too long and getting sacked six times.

Second, backup center Patrick Methlie would be given a chance to start at right guard over Patrick Shupp, who led the team in sacks allowed. Methlie would then proceed to allow two sacks and have multiple holding calls on him.

Third, Kion Wright would be given the start as the right-sided edge rusher. Wait a minute, was there even an edge rusher on the right? The Panthers finished the game with 273 rushing yards, and the only sacks from the Blue Hens came from their linebackers.

To open conference play for the first time in CUSA, this game was a disaster for the Blue Hens.

Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens (1-3, 0-1)
QB Zach Marker: 8/15, 45 passing yds, 1 INT, 4 rushes, 16 rushing yds, 1 fumble
QB Riley Trujillo: 11/19, 115 passing yds, 20 rushes, 126 rushing yds, 2 rushing TD
HB Viron Ellison Jr.: 10 rushes, 33 rushing yds, 3 receptions, 18 receiving yds
OLB Dillon Trainer: 6 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 sack
OLB Blake Matthews: 5 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack

FIU Panthers (3-1, 1-0)
QB Keyone Jenkins: 19/26, 205 passing yds, 2 passing TD, 8 rushes, 43 rushing yds
HB Kejon Owens: 25 rushes, 142 rushing yds, 1 rushing TD, 3 receptions, 2 receiving yds, 1 receiving TD
HB Sam Joseph: 1 rush, 42 rushing yds, 1 rushing TD
WR Alex Perry: 6 receptions, 65 receiving yds, 1 receiving TD
MLB Johnny Chaney Jr.: 18 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack
SS Demetrius Hill: 7 tackles, 1 INT
DT Clinton Mahoni: 2 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 sacks
DT Quaylen Hill: 2 tackles, 2 TFL, 1.5 sacks

Next Game: Western Kentucky
