Don't know how McDermott doesn't get Coach of the Year under those circumstances.
Allen went nuclear.

Colts send Zaire Franklin to Titans in race AFC South swap
In a move that surprised many, the Indianapolis Colts have traded Pro Bowl linebacker Zaire Franklin to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for linebacker Cody Barton and a 2027 fifth-round draft pick, league sources confirmed Wednesday.
The deal marks one of the rare intra-division trades between AFC South rivals, a practice typically avoided due to competitive implications. The last notable transaction between the Colts and Titans came in 2011, when the Titans sent a conditional pick to Indianapolis for backup quarterback Chris Simms. More broadly, the AFC South has seen only a handful of such trades in the past decade, including the Jaguars' 2020 swap of defensive end Yannick Ngakoue to the Texans.
Franklin, 30, has been a cornerstone of the Colts’ defense since being drafted in 2018, ascending to Pro Bowl status in the last two seasons after leading the team in tackles for four consecutive seasons. Known for his sideline-to-sideline range and vocal leadership, Franklin’s departure leaves a void in the heart of Indianapolis’ defense.
However, sources close to the organization suggest that Franklin’s off-field ventures reportedly became a point of contention within the Colts’ front office. In 2024, he was asked to shut down his self-hosted podcast, The Trenches, which had gained traction for its candid commentary on league dynamics. The tension escalated in 2025 when Franklin began making weekly appearances on the popular morning YouTube show 520 in the Morning, where he went viral for declaring that Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was not a top five pick.
While Franklin’s media presence endeared him to fans and drew praise for his authenticity, some within the Colts’ brass viewed it as a distraction. Franklin had 140 tackles last year, his fourth straight season with at least 100 tackles while Barton, 29, had 148 tackles in his first year with the Titans.

Nakobe Dean, Bradley Pinion headline opening day of free agency for Titans
Former Super Bowl champion and college football champion Nakobe Dean is returning to the south, signing a four-year, $36.8 million deal with the Tennessee Titans during the first day of free agency.
Dean, 25, has dealt with injuries after being a third-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2022. The former Butkus Award winner who led the Georgia Bulldogs to a national championship in 2021 had played only one full season as a starter, recording 120 tackles and nine tackles for loss to the champion Eagles. During their playoff run, Dean should tore a tendon in his knee which caused him to miss all of the 2025 season.
The Titans have also signed punter Bradley Pinion to a two year, $9.6 million deal and brought in pass rusher Charles Omenihu on a two year, $12.2 million contract. Pinion averaged a career high 48.1 net yards per punt this past season for the Atlanta Falcons, a ten yard increase from the previous season.
Omenihu, who won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2023, had three sacks this past year in a rotational role.
