UNDRAFTED: SEASON ONE FINALE

It's been two weeks since the Philadelphia 76ers have won their fourth NBA title. The last two weeks were filled with celebration with Recks among his team and family just before they headed back home to Fresno without Khyri who opted to stay.

"So, Mr. NBA, how's it feel to be a champion?"

"Mr. NBA? Where that come from?"

"That's what the people are calling you. Rookie of the Year, MVP, Finals MVP, and champion, pretty much sums up you being a NBA elite."

Recks laughed at the gesture of being nicknamed, "Nah, that doesn't even suit me. But I am happy that I am champion. WInning that title means a lot and I couldn't have done it alone."

"Whatever, Recks. Lose the modesty, everyone knows that you carried that team to a title."

Recks looks at Khyri and grins as she chuckled. The two enjoyed a saturday walk in South Philly, enjoying themselves, greeting and taking pictures with fans that came along. Some even question their relationship status and hesitantly, they were truthful about it. They felt it was no sense in hiding it.

"So, what's next on your agenda? Give me the inside scoop before everyone else, you plan on staying here in Philadelphia and bring another title to the city?" Khyri asked.

"Honestly, I don't know. I talked to my agent, Danielle, earlier this morning and she wants me to come see her. Said she got a lot of endorsements that she wants to present to me. People want to do a photoshoot with me, interviews, and all that stuff. But I just want to wind down and relax for a minute and not think about basketball."

"I can understand that, but you are in the lime light of your career. I only want the best for you." Khyri grabs onto Recks' arm, holding him closely as they stroll.

"Yeah, I know. I do too, especially for Kairos and our soon to be newborn."

Hearing Recks say that nearly shuttered Khyri. As happy as she wanted to be knowing they were going to settle down, she also felt some type of sadness, but quickly discard any visible notion of it."

"Hey, down for some ice cream? I'm sure shorty in there could use something to cool down too."

"Yeah, I'd like that."

Recks and Khyri swung by Artic Scoop on Passyunk Ave, both ordering two massive bubble waffle sundaes, talking among themselves and enjoying what little breeze the weather was giving. A few hours gone by of their day, Khyri internal guilt began to rise as Recks fantasized what type of child they would have.

"Hey, I know I wasn't there when you needed me most. Missing the appointments with you and all that, but I'm here now. I can't make up for what I missed out on, but I want us to do right by this one."

"Recks, I love you."

"I love you too. I know we had our ups and downs, our differences, but we somehow we always bounce back through it all. You've been a great friend to me, my son, and I want you to be even more to us. So, I'm hoping you'd be open to marrying me..."

Taken aback from what Recks was saying, Khyri's heart starts to flutter, butterflies starts to develope, but as soon as she welcomed it, she snatches her-self back.

"Recks, I'd love to... But..."

"I understand, I sprung it on you like this. You don't have to answer right now, just give it some thought."

Recks... I need to tell you something..."

"What's up? If it's about the whole marriage ordeal, we don't have to go through with that, we can rock out as is-"

"No, no.. It's not that... It's... I don't know how to say this!" Khyri begins to frustrate with guilt and grief. It was clear to Recks something was wrong.

"Khy, what's up? Talk to me. Whatever it is, I can handle it. It's me..."

After a moment or two, Khyri gathered herself, trying to fight back tears, but that was a losing battle as she fluster herself red.

"I'm sorry, Recks. The baby might not be yours..."
