Can I Kick It? | Kassir's F1 Career

F1 Rookie' Noura Kassir Retires From Melbourne Early After A Scary Collision.

Kick Sauber's rookie, Noura Kassir, was forced out of her Formula 1 debut this weekend after a collision with Esteban Ocon from Haas.
After starting the grid at 15, Kassir managed to rise to 9th place before being forced out of the biggest moment of her racing career thus far.
"It's unfortunate but these things happen. We're just happy Noura [Kassir] was able to walk away just fine & she'll be ready to go in Shangai & compete with the best drivers in the world." Jonathan Wheatley, Team Principal for Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, told ESPN at the conclusion of the race.
Instead the moment belonged to McLaren, as Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri ran away with the bulk of the points in Melbourne in the season-opener.
Round 2 takes place at the Shanghai International Circuit as Formula 1 returns to China.
