Racing Louisville FC has added a world-class talent to its roster with the signing of Swedish international Kosovare Asllani for the 2024 NWSL season. The attacking midfielder joins the club on a 2-year deal valued at $80,000, with a weekly wage of $6,200.

Asllani, 34, known for her creativity, vision, and lethal finishing, brings a wealth of experience to Louisville. With over 170 caps for the Swedish national team and a storied club career that includes stints at Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and Real Madrid, Asllani's arrival is a massive boost to Racing Louisville’s ambitions.

“Kosovare is a proven winner with an incredible football IQ,” said Racing Louisville head coach Filipa Patão. “She brings leadership, versatility, and a killer instinct in the final third—everything we need to compete at the highest level this season.”

Asllani most recently played for AC Milan in Serie A Femminile, where she served as a key playmaker and captain. Known as “The Queen” in her homeland, she is a two-time Olympic silver medalist and has played in four FIFA Women’s World Cups.

In a statement shared through the club, Asllani expressed her excitement for this new chapter:

“I’m thrilled to join Racing Louisville and be part of something special in the NWSL. I’ve always admired the league’s competitiveness and passion, and I can’t wait to bring my energy to this team and city.”

Racing Louisville FC Signs Free Agent & Rising Mexican Star, Scarlett Camberos.

Image

Racing Louisville FC continues to strengthen its roster ahead of the 2024 NWSL season with the addition of dynamic Mexican winger Scarlett Camberos, signed on a 4-year deal valued at $40,000 with a weekly wage of $2,300.

Camberos, 23, arrives with a growing reputation as one of Mexico’s most exciting attacking prospects. Known for her blistering pace, fearless dribbling, and relentless work rate, the former Club América standout brings versatility and international flair to Racing Louisville's front line.

“Scarlett is a player who can change a game with her speed and creativity,” said Racing Louisville head coach Filipa Patão. “She brings hunger, explosiveness, and a spark that’s going to add real depth and danger to our attack.”

Camberos has already made her mark on the international stage with the Mexican Women’s National Team and was a standout in Liga MX Femenil before a brief spell in the NWSL. Her return to the league with Racing Louisville signals a fresh start—and a major opportunity to continue her upward trajectory.

Speaking on her move, Camberos shared her excitement:

“I’m grateful for the chance to play for Racing Louisville and be part of something that’s building fast. I want to give everything for the badge, for the fans, and for my teammates.”

Camberos’ addition gives Racing Louisville more tactical flexibility and injects youthful energy into the squad as they gear up for a competitive 2024 season. With her arrival, Louisville’s attacking options grow even more dangerous—especially when paired with marquee signing Kosovare Asllani.

Look for Camberos to make an immediate impact as Racing Louisville kicks off the campaign with eyes on the playoffs—and beyond.
