Looks like it is going well so far for you. Another two series that you picked up and leading the division. With the playoffs likely what are you thinking as far as trade pieces you might need to grab?

I'll fuck some tables up :yep:

EDIT:

Forgot to address the trade deadline. Up in the air at the moment. I have that system I'm going to use to determine deadline deals so it depends on how that shakes out. But currently I'll probably look at add pitching. Going to be interesting here in a month when Anthony is on the ready to come up - going to have a log jam that a trade might have to address. But the Roman Empire will be starting :yep:

When Does Boston's 'Roman Empire' Start?

Image

Boston, MA. - The Red Sox have stormed out to a 29–19 start through May 18, tied atop the American League East. Yet one question keeps nudging its way into every roster conversation: when — and where — will Roman Anthony debut?

Anthony, a consensus top prospect, has been raking in Double-A with 9 home runs and 19 RBIs in 32 games, tied for the league lead in homers while hitting a sturdy .289. The bat looks ready. The fit is the puzzle.

Early in the spring, Jarren Duran looked like the presumed odd man out if Anthony forced the issue. Instead, Duran has been a tone-setter, carrying a .270 average with 5 homers, 19 RBIs and 15 steals at the top of the order. Ceddanne Rafaela hasn’t matched that production at the plate, but his plus defense in Fenway’s unforgiving center field keeps him firmly in the lineup. That leaves precious little daylight for an immediate outfield reshuffle.

Asked about Anthony’s timeline, Kyle Red, special assistant to club president Sam Kennedy, kept it close to the vest:

“Bats always find a way into the lineup.”

If Boston wants to get creative, there’s an unconventional path that’s been discussed: shifting Rafaela to shortstop to cover for the scuffling Trevor Story, whose Boston tenure has wrestled with inconsistency and injuries. The idea would keep Rafaela’s speed and glove in the everyday mix while clearing a clean runway for Anthony in the outfield. For now, though, that talk hasn’t gathered real traction.

The irony is the big-league club doesn’t need Anthony’s bat at this exact moment: Boston ranks second in the American League in runs, hits, and batting average. But the longer Anthony mauls minor-league pitching, the louder the question becomes — who moves when the newest Sox arrives? Whether it’s a position shift, a timeshare, or a trade from a position of strength, Anthony’s debut feels less like an “if” and more like a “where do they put him?” decision on the horizon.
