After suffering a minor injury in the Lakers’ win over the Pistons, Walker Kessler was back in the lineup as the Lakers travelled to Memphis to face Ja Morant and the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies were playing without Jaren Jackson, Jr. (wrist) and Zach Edey (hip).

Philadelphia managed to scrape past the Los Angeles Clippers for their first win of the season, but the victory was short lived as they fell to the Los Angeles Lakers. Joel Embiid’s production hasn’t been as high as expected though he is averaging a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, Tyrese Maxey is leading the team in scoring with 25.5ppg.

Dennis Schroeder received his championship ring tonight from the Lakers. He was traded to Philadelphia for a second round pick, allowing Los Angeles to draft Bronny James, Jr.

Philly had their hands full from the opening sequence as LeBron James scored the first of his six first quarter shots from beyond the arc. James had 13 points in the first quarter as the Lakers established dominance early. Los Angeles went on a 12-3 run in the first quarter and never looked back.
